Luxury lodging and fine-dining isn’t exactly prevalent in Schweitzer or Sandpoint, for that matter. But there are a couple of high-quality options sure to please those with discerning preferences and palates. Hydra, on Lake Street, serves up some incredible prime cuts with customary, but well-executed sides. Their gourmet burgers are not to be missed either. Foodies will love La Rosa Club, on South First Avenue, for its eclectic tapas menu with a decidedly Mediterranean flare. If you’re staying in or around the Schweitzer base village, then a dinner at Chimney Rock and Grill is in order. This restaurant, located in the Selkirk Lodge, provides guests with a well-versed menu including pasta, steak and memorable salads, as well as local brews and regional wines.
