Snowmass Craft Beer Festival
Summoning 30 craft breweries from around Colorado, the Rendezvous brings together visitors in the stunning Snowmass Mountains for a quaint day of beer tasting and live music from Hot Buttered Rum. The event begins at 3 p.m. on the Snowmass Mall, and the concert takes place on Fanny Hill at 5 p.m. Tickets run $30 per person.
The Snowmass Free Concert Series takes place on various Saturdays and Thursdays throughout the summer, featuring bands Hot Buttered Rum, See-I, Brothers Keeper & John Popper, Head for the Hills, New Orleans Suspects, Freddy Jones Band, Ruaile Buaile, Sundy Best, Otis Tayler Band and ending with a ‘90s Night Glow Show. The concerts will take place on Fanny Hill and in the base area.
June 23-July 1 The June Experience showcases world-class musicians at the spectacular Benedict Music Tent in Aspen, with multiple shows at the JAS Café Upstairs at the Aspen Art Museum and Downstairs at The Little Nell. A free lawn party will take place nightly (June 23-25) on the Benedict Music Tent grounds prior to the main stage acts, and includes live music, food and beverage stations. Aspen's Old Fashioned 4th of July
Join approximately 20,000 local residents for a classic Fourth of July celebration with a whimsical twist! Festivities includes a parade, U.S. Airforce jet flyby, concerts, a BBQ and a children’s bicycle rodeo. Live music will take place on Fanny Hill, and the parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Main Street.
The 7th annual Mountain Bike Race is the oldest in the Audi Power of Four series, and features a point-to-point course covering the classic single-track on Government Trail, a mix of the new flow trails on Snowmass and the challenging steeps and descents of both Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain. The full four-mountain course is 33 miles with close to 10,000 feet in elevation gain, while the smaller, two-mountain course covers 18 miles on Snowmass and Buttermilk.
This challenging 50K Ultra race has been named the US Skyrunner Series North American Continental Championship, and covers all four mountains in a mix of single-track and dirt road trails. The event also offers a 25K course along the Government Trail, covering Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains with a Vertical K race up Aspen Mountain.
Labor Day with Jas Aspen includes three days of world-class musical experiences and crowds of up to 11,000 people per day. Along with headline performances, two smaller stages keep the music going all day with a mix of up and coming artists. Other entertainment includes shopping, eclectic food and beverage vendors, a kid’s corner and more. The 2017 lineup includes Maroon 5, Keith Urban, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Daryl Hall & John Oats, The Roots and more!
For three days in September the Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the sky with one of the highest-altitude balloon events in the country. 30 pilots compete in balloon challenges, including a distance race that covers the entire Roaring Fork Valley. Other highlights include the Saturday Evening Glow on Fanny Hill with free music and a light show.
The Snowmass Wine Festival combines incredible food, flavors, sights and sounds to create an incredible weekend of wine tasting. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Snowmass Village, funds raised are allocated to non-profit organizations across the Roaring Fork Valley and other charitable organizations worldwisde. Events take place at Town Park in Snowmass Village; you must be 21+ to taste wines.
